The remainder of the collection consists of professional papers, such as court decisions, and legal documents, such as deeds and promissory notes. The letters discuss such matters as the naming of a new baby after Elias Boudinot, gunnery experiments, the creation of a New Jersey regiment to fight in the Civil War, and the shooting death of Major John Floyd.
